Our Story


DoRan Seafood is a Shrimp Processing Plant and Cold Storage that was founded in 2006 by Don Schwab and Randy Pearce. A partnership not in name only. The Pearce and Schwab families have been engrossed in the seafood scene for multiple generations in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast. 

Seeing the current state of shrimp processing, we had imagined a better way to serve customers, a way more in tune to the wholesalers that supply many fine restaurants in New Orleans and other cities around the country. To be customer driven. Giving them what they want when and how they want it.

DoRan Seafood strives to fulfil its customers’ needs in manners not seen before in the domestic shrimp industry. Coupled with our desire to provide safe, quality, and cost beneficiary products to our customers, we have grown in our ten plus years of existence into a facility that adheres strictly to globally recognized food safety guidelines that can provide exceptional Louisiana and Gulf Coast shrimp all around the country all the while continuing to offer the same personalized customer service we have been providing since day one.

Today, Randy Pearce, our President, and Jeffrey Schwab, our Chief Operations Officer, continue to provide wild caught American shrimp to numerous wholesalers, distributors, grocery store chains, and restaurants all over the United States with one goal in mind; to offer the best product at the best price possible for each and every one of their customers.
